Sevilla's Jesús Navas ruled out of Real Sociedad game
The winger was ruled out at the 11th hour with gastroenteritis and joins Gabriel Mercado and Simon Kjaer in the Sánchez Pizjuán sick bay.
Jesús Navas has been ruled out of Sevilla’s trip to Anoeta to face Real Sociedad on Wednesday night due to a bout of gastroenteritis and did not travel with the rest of the squad, who left Andalusia for San Sebastián during the morning.
Sevilla boss Eduardo Berizzo, who is making his return to the touchline in Anoeta after undergoing prostate cancer surgery, had called up 19 players for the game and chose not to add a player at the last minute to make up the numbers.
Coming into Berizzo’s list for Anoeta are defender Sebastián Corchia and on-loan Schalke midfielder Johannes Geis while defenders Gabriel Mercado and Simon Kjaer remain absent.
