Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane has dismissed speculation that he wants the LaLiga giants to sell Isco.

His rebuttal comes in the wake of a report by 'El Chiringuito' that he feels let down by the midfielder's performances this season, and has asked the club to offload the 25-year-old in the summer.

Speaking on Friday, Zidane also looked ahead to Real's LaLiga clash with Real Sociedad (Saturday, 20:45 CET), and next week's Champions League last-16 first leg against Paris Saint-Germain.

Zidane's pre-Real Sociedad press conference:

Have you asked the club to sell Isco? "I want Isco and I want him to stay here forever. And that isn't going to change. He's a terrific player, and he's proved that. It's a lie. You've asked me and I've answered you, so as to put this matter to bed."

Real Sociedad: "We've got a good team coming here tomorrow. What we want is to play a good game of football, but we know it's going to be a tough match against a really good side."

Bernabéu as possible Copa del Rey final venue: "The club will make its decision. All that I'm focusing on is tomorrow's game. I'm not interested in anything else."

Zidane and team judged harshly? "I can't control what people say. Things aren't going the way we want, that's true, but at the end of the day we know who we are, that when the tough gets going we have to stick at it by working hard and keeping a positive attitude. We know the weapons we have at our disposal, and things can change very quickly."

What makes you believe you will knock out PSG? "It's not a case of me believing anything; all I know is that we're going to give everything. No-one knows what will happen on Wednesday. We're out to perform well, and that's all there is to it. But first we're focusing on tomorrow's game."
