Bouchard has been suffering from terrible form for a long while now, and is currently ranked 116 in the world. Her outstanding year was 2014 when she made the semi-finals of the Australian and French Opens and the final of Wimbledon, where she was beaten by Petra Kvitova.
The Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition is an annual publication featuring fashion models wearing swimwear in exotic locations. Athletes have featured through the years, with Steffi Graf appearing in 1997 and Serena Williams in 2003.
Bouchard featured for the first time in the 2017 and would appear to be a highly popular choice for 2018, given the reaction on Twitter.
