Emery press conference ahead of Real Madrid Champions League match
The PSG coach said: "We're playing the team that have won the competition the most times and which has the top scorer: Ronaldo".
PSG coach Unai Emery spoke ahead of his side's Champions League match against Real Madrid at the Bernabéu, to be played on Wednesday night, with kick off at 20:45.
Importance of the match for PSG
We've trained in Paris, but it's our standard practice for the Champions League matches. It's a big opportunity, with the demands that come with playing the Champions League holders. We admire what they've done in the competition. And we want to reach their level.
Is Diarra ready?
We're all ready and mad for it.
Lo Celso, Diarra and Rabiot?
We haven't worked with that this season. Rabiot has been a number eight, but he can play there. although we've tried with Diarra and Lo Celso.
What aspects of Real Madrid worry you?
We're going to be playing against the team who have won the competition the most times, and they have Cristiano who is the top scorer in the competition, but we believe in our players who will give us the chance to go through.
I'm expecting the best Real Madrid. Just as I'm going to play my best players, they'll do the same. I can't imagine they wouldn't be in the starting XI. But equally I wouldn't be surprised if someone else came in. It's true they can change their set-up, but we've been working on it and we'll put it into practice when we know their line-up.
Good times for PSG?
We're in a good place, with our dreams of getting better and we have the chance to do it against Madrid. We're playing the champions.
I'm living this moment and this knock-out game. We're highly motivated and confident. We're aware we're facing a team that could make things very difficult for us.
Expectation over the game
All the competitions are very important. The Champions League is incredible. We're so excited to have the chance to grow and face the best in the world.
Pressure after last year...
I live with the feeling of enjoying every opportunity. With respect but confidence in what we're doing.
Do Madrid envy PSG?
Not at all. Their history and their present attest to that. You just have to look at what they've achieved and the players they have.
Opportunity to be candidates for the trophy?
It's another step. We've got more experience and we're better prepared.
Would you change Cristiano for Neymar?
That's hard or easy to answer. I'm delighted to have Neymar.
Did you sit back too much at the Camp Nou?
The preparation for this game started that day. We've talked clearly about it and you learn a lot when things don't go right. We're better prepared and ready to compete at this level.
Which attacking trident is better?
Each side will go into battle with their own...
