The doors of the Camp Nou have closed on Verratti. His options will remain limited if his reluctance to play in the Premier League continues.
Verratti remains under the microscope in the French capital. The Italian was sent off against Real Madrid in the Champions League second round all but ending PSG's hopes of a comeback. On Wednesday, PSG play angers on Wednesday night and L'Equipe focus on the players with the headline, "Verratti must mature".
Emery defends Verratti and his temper
The Italian has gone from untouchable to transferable in the space of weeks. Last summer, PSG resisted offers from Barcelona but this summer that might not be the case. Since the arrival of Neymar and Mbappé, he is no longer seen as the club's future and they say, at 25, he needs to mature in order to control his temper.
His own manager, Unai Emery, spoke about the need to learn how to keep his head in moments of tension. "It's true that the player has a lot of characer. We spoke with him as it's not the first time. He can improve his temperament. He needs to control his frustration in games, above all in the important games. But I have no doubts with him. Marco has progressed and he will keep doing so. He is a very important player for the present and the future of PSG. He knows that he needs to improve certain things. He is going to continue this this process to mature," Emery said.
