Nice striker Mario Balotelli has launched an extraordinary attack on PSG after the Ligue 1 giants’ Champions League exit at the hands of Real Madrid, describing Unai Emery’s side as “a Ligue 1 team at the same level as Guingamp. The problem is that money buys players, it does not buy a team.”

In Balotelli's view, PSG’s 5-2 aggregate defeat against the reigning European championswas completely deserved. It’s disgraceful that they have been knocked out of the competition so early.”

Balotelli has netted 22 goals for Nice this season in 32 appearances but was not called up to the latest Italy squad announced by Luigi Di Biagio this week.
