Germany's Sami Khedira was substituted in the 52nd minute of the international friendly against Spain in Dusseldorf on Friday evening.

Khedira down, but is he out?

The midfielder went down after a challenge by Thiago and the medical team were sent on to assess the injury, with Khedira clearlt in pain and holding his right leg, just behind the knee.

Time will tell if this will have the player sitting out for the second friendly for his country, against Brazil on Tuesday, or if his place in the Juventus team to play Real Madrid is at risk. This could be terrible news for the Italian side who have other injury doubts to concern themselves with. The Champions League quarter final first leg takes place in Turin on Tuesday 3 April.
