Rummenigge slams door shut on Lewandowski to Real Madrid
The president of Bayern Munich has had his say about where Lewandowski will be playing next season and he is willing to be any money it will be Bayern Munich.
Karlz-Heinz Rummenigue, president of Bayern Munich, has told Kicker that Robert Lewandowski will 100% be a Bayern Munich player next season. He is even willing to bet any amount on it too.
"I gladly accept any bet that robert will be with Bayern Munich next season," said Rumenigge. "Nobody can sign a player against Bayern Munich's will," he added.
When Chelsea wanted Ribery
The German recounted the time in 2008 when Chelsea were keen on Franck Ribery and made an offer of €80 million along with Jose Bosingwa, which was rejected by the club. Bayern's current positions is the same regarding Ribery in 2008.
Lewandowski has been the subject of rumours, with Real Madrid reportedly closing in on the Polish striker. He changed his agent, which added curther fuel to the fire, but Lewandowski has a contract with Bayern until 2021 and does not have a buy-out clause.
