JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID
Sergio Ramos on thin ice against Juventus
The Real Madrid captain is at risk of picking up a suspension and with news of Nacho's injury needs to be even more careful not to pick up a booking.
Sergio Ramos is at risk of missing the second leg of the Juventus quarter-final if he picks up a yellow card in Turin on Tuesday night. The Real Madrid captain and central defender, along with Giorgio Chiellini, will have to play with the handbrake on to ensure they don't miss the return leg at the Santiago Bernabeu on the 11th of April. Here is a complete list of players that risk suspension in the quarter-finals.
Juventus are already down two men in Medhi Benatia and Miralem Pjanic, who picked up suspensions after the Spurs game. The potential absence of Chiellini could mean Rugani or Bazagli would have to step in. In the event that Ramos picks up a yellow, Jesus Vallejo would be the first man up with news that Nacho is out for three or four weeks. The other options for Zidane include throwing Casemiro or Marcos Llorente beside Raphael Varane.
Bentacur and Alex Sandro also run the risk of picking up a suspension with the former possibly playing in place of Pjanic. Although Sami Khedira is more likely to be picked by Allegri in the middle. All cards are cleared after the quarter-finals but if a suspension is picked up in the quarter-final, the player will serve the suspension in the first leg of the last four. Ramos and Chiellini will be defending on thin ice on Tuesday and in the return leg.
