SANT JORDI

Guardiola and Mourinho share a kiss, thanks again to Tvboy

To celebrate the festive day of Sant Jordi, the graffiti artist has followed up last year's effort of Messi and Cristiano with two rivals of the management side of the game.

The well-known rivalry between Pep Guardiola and José Mourinho goes back to their time as LaLiga coaches of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively. This is very much alive to this day with their new battleground of the Premier League and their new home in Manchester, Pep with City and José with United.

Mourinho and Guardiola kiss

A warm embrace, a firm shake of the hand, even a passing smile can sometimes prove too much in the cut-throat world where they try to prove themselves superior, but Italian urban artist Tvboy has managed to reconcile them...figuratively.

With Monday 23rd April being the festive day of Sant Jordi, celebrated in Catalonia with roses and books, the romance associated with the occasion has been captured by the artist with a graffiti image of the managers fused in a passionate kiss. It's emblazoned on a wall on the Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona, unlikely to go unnoticed by the thousands of daily passers-by. Tvboy presented this striking image on Instagram defining Barcelona as a city of "peace, tolerance and respect". It was also presented as a video to the music of 'Love is in the Air'.

Messi and Cristiano kiss

This is not the first time that Tvboy has done an embrace of this sort. Last year the kiss of two playing rivals, Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi, were represented in a similar way. He also gained plenty of attention portraying the Barça star as the Messiah.

Away from the world of football we have seen the artist bring together the likes of Mariano Rajoy and Carles Puigdemont, Donald Trump and Kim Jon Gun and Silvio Berlusconi and Matteo Renzi.
