Isco and Varane train with the squad on the eve of El Clásico
Both players have been carrying injuries but will be available for tomorrow's game against Barcelona although Zidane might prefer not to risk them.

There was some good news for Zidane on Saturday - Raphaël Varane and Isco, who have been recovering from their respective fitness problems, returned to train with the squad in Valdebebas this morning and both are available for tomorrow's meeting with Barcelona at Camp Nou. Only third choice keeper Luca Zidane, who is on duty with Castilla, and Dani Carvajal, who is still on the mend from a hamstring tear, are not available.

Short staffed in defence
The return of both players clears up a few doubts ahead of El Clásico, particularly concerning the defence. With Varane ruled out, Zidane might have fielded Nacho alongside Ramos in central defence with Lucas Vázquez standing in again at right-back like he did against Bayern; or revert Nacho back into his old, right-back role and partner Jesús Vallejo with Ramos. If Varane goes play tomorrow night, the natural solution would be for Nacho to occupy the right-back slot but that would still entail a risk, as Nacho, apart from making a three-minute cameo appearance as a late sub against Bayern on Tuesday, has not played a full match since the end of March. Zidane is likely to be more cautious with his defence as he will want all of his defenders fit for Kiev.

Isco or Asensio

The same goes for Isco: if there is any risk that he could suffer a relapse of his shoulder sprain, he won't featured in the starting XI at Camp Nou with Marco Asensio taking his place. Initially, the plan was for Isco to start in Barcelona with Asensio on the bench.
