Fernando Torres: Chicago Fire close to signing Atlético striker
According to COPE, representatives of the MLS side are in Madrid to negotiate the signing of the 34-year-old.
The future of Fernando Torres appears likely to be on the other side of the Atlantic. The Atlético Madrid striker has announced that he will leave the club at the end of this season, acknowledging that he must 'sacrifice my dreams for the good of Atleti.'
Chicago Fire representatives in Madrid
El Niño has also made it clear that he will continue playing after leaving his boyhood club. Torres has confirmed that he has received offers, and according to COPE, his immediate future could be with Chicago Fire, the MLS side managed by his former team-mate Veljko Paunovic.
The same source revealed that representatives from Chicago are in Madrid to complete the signing.
Torres could join Villa in MLS
