Sir Alex Ferguson in hospital after suffering brain haemorrhage
The former-Manchester United manager had surgery on Saturday after suffering a haemorrhage, the club confirmed in a statement.

Sir Alex Ferguson is in a serious condition after undergoing surgery for a brain haemorrhage on Saturday.
Manchester United released the following statement:
"Sir Alex Ferguson has undergone emergency surgery today for a brain haemorrhage. The procedure has gone very well but he needs a period of intensive care to optimise his recovery. His family request privacy in this matter.”
The 76-year-old led United to 38 trophies during a 26-year spell with the club.
