Asier Garitano will leave Leganés at the end of the current season. The club broke the news this morning via an official communique which brings to an end five years on the Butarque bench with the Bergara born coach steering the side from 2B to Laliga.

The-48-year-old will speak to the media at midday on Wednesday to explain his decision and will sit on the Butarque bench for the last time when Leganes face Real Betis in the last game of the current season in what will be an emotional occasion.

There will ne no shortage of suitors with vacancies aplenty in LaLiga with the likes of Real Sociedad, Athletic Club, Espanyol and Sevilla all on the hunt for a new coach. Garitano has also been linked with Galician side Celta Vigo, but there is still question mark as to the next destination for the highly regarded coach.
