Real Madrid keeping tabs on Colombia's Uribe - reports
According to ESPN, the attacking midfielder Mateus Uribe is a player of interest to the technical team of Los Blancos, who has a World Cup to impress.
News coming out of South America is that Colombian player Mateus Uribe is high on the Real Madrid transfer agenda.
World Cup window of opportunity
According to ESPN, Mexican club América's attacking midfielder is being watched by Los Blancos scouting team and is one of the targets for this summer's expected foray into the transfer market for Florentino Pérez. The 27-year old has seven caps for the national team and is hoping to take advantage of the World Cup in Russia to confirm his quality against the best. If so, an offer from the Spanish giants may come the way of the club he joined just last August.
At the moment Uribe has a contract until 2020 in Mexico and has a market value of around five million euros. However, with Real Madrid sniffing around a number of other players - a club often influenced by star performers at World Cups, a lá James Rodríguez - he will need to shine for the big move.
