Chelsea striker Álvaro Morata appears set to be left out of Spain's World Cup squad, according to a report on Spanish radio this evening.

Spain boss Julen Lopetegui is due to reveal his 23-man party for Russia 2018 in a press conference in Madrid on Monday lunchtime, and Cadena Cope says it has gained access to the list used at today's rehearsal of the announcement.

Vitolo also left out of squad reported by Cope

Alongside Morata, another notable omission reported by Cope is Atlético Madrid winger Vitolo, who featured regularly under Lopetegui during World Cup qualifying.

Morata's Chelsea team-mates César Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso are included in the potential squad list, as is Real Sociedad's Álvaro Odriozola.

Lopetegui is to announce his World Cup squad in Madrid on Monday.
