German national team coach Joachim Löw has ruled himself out of a move to the Santiago Bernabeu as the Spanish club now face the task of appointing a successor following Zinedine Zidane's surprise resignation.

"I rule this out totally. Madrid will find a suitable replacement but yes, the Zidane resignation did take me by surprise", affirmed the German national team coach as his side prepare for a World Cup warm up game against Austria.
Joachim Löw was one of three candidates cited as favourites to coach the LaLiga side and his refusal to entertain the idea now points the spotlight squarely on current Tottenham Hotspur boss Maurico Pochettino.
