No place for Cristiano Ronaldo in World's Greatest XI

Every year, former Brazil star Ronaldo Nazario likes to publish his World's Greatest XI team. And again this year, Lionel Messi has made the cut, alongside legends such as Maradonna and Pelé. But surprisingly there is no place for five-time Ballon D’or-winner, Cristiano Ronaldo.

The former Real Madrid and Barcelona striker has also left out some ex-team mates that could have arguably made the eleven. Gianluigi Buffon is his preferred choice over Iker Casillas in goal. Fabio Cannavaro gets the nod over Sergio Ramos, while Andrea Pirlo comes in ahead of Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta.

Here is Ronaldo’s eleven: Buffon, Cafu, Cannavaro, Maldini, Roberto Carlos, Pirlo, Zidane, Maradona, Messi, Pele, Ronaldo Nazario (himself).
