F1, Indy Car? Fernando Alonso posts cryptic career message
The future of the Formula 1 star looks set to be clarified on Tuesday after he started a countdown clock on a Twitter post.
Fernando Alonso looks set to make a statement about his future on Tuesday after posting a cryptic message on Twitter.
Alonso's current contract with McLaren is set to expire at the end of the season and he has been linked with a move to Red Bull and Ferrari – should he decide to stay in Formula One.
A permanent move to another classification is also an option for the Spaniard as he chases motorsport's triple crown.
Alonso already has two legs of that achievement having added the Le Mans 24 Hours to his two Monaco Grand Prix successes.
That only leaves the Indianapolis 500 for the 37-year-old to win and a permanent move to IndyCar has also been mooted.
And fans may not have to wait long to find his plans after he posted "14-08" on Twitter with a countdown clock.
