Odriozola ruled out of Uefa Super Cup final
Real Madrid have confirme that a Grade I tear in a thigh muscle will see the new signing play no role in the Tallinn final.
Álvaro Odriozola has been ruled out of the forthcoming Uefa Super Cup as Real Madrid are set to face city rivals Atletico in Tallinn on Wednesday.
Madrid earlier confirmed that the Basque defender has been ruled out of the game after recently sustaining a muscular thigh injury which ruled him out of Saturday's friendly against AC Milan at the Bernabeu. The club estimate that the new signing will miss one to two weeks of action with the new season looming.
It's anticipated that Sergio López will take his place in defence in Tallinn and it's hoped that Odriozola will be ready for the second league game of the new campaign Lopetegui's men travel to Girona.
