Vinicius makes Real Madrid Castilla debut
The Brazilian striker will be with the Real Madrid reserve side until first team boss Lopetegui decides he's ready to step up.
Vinicius Jr has made his RM Castilla debut (the Spanish outfit's reserve team), today against Las Palmas Atlético. In his press conference on Saturday, Real Madrid first team coach Julen Lopetegui said the Brazilian striker needed more time to adapt to join the first team: "He's a squad player. When he's with us he'll have chances to play, and when he isn't he'll be able to play for Castilla. He's a really young lad, who's recently arrived. He's going to do well, but he needs time to prepare. We're focused on his progression and he'll be with us when we think it's right".
Vinicius adapting to Real Madrid
Real Madrid's focus now is on ensuring Vinicius adapts perfectly to his new environment. And to ensure he picks up the rhythm of Spanish football he was selected for Santi Solari's Castilla side on Sunday making him the most expensive player to feature in the Spanish third tier (2B) following his 45 million euro move from Flamengo.
