The Brazilian club are open to negotiate for the 21-year-old striker, whose buy-out is 50 million euros. Fluminense would be willing to accept 20M€.

The news that Fluminense striker Pedro could soon be joining Real Madrid provoked a massive reaction in the Brazilian media. Globoesporte revealed that Fluminense have rejected three new offers for the 21-year-old, and also confirmed (citing Mexican sources) that talks have been ongoing with Real Madrid and added that the Brazilian club are open to negotiate for Pedro, whose buy-out clause is set at 50 million euros. The recent offers that have come in for the striker are from France and Mexico. Girondins de Bordeaux have raised their initial bid from 8.5 to 12 million euros while Monterrey have put in two offers - one for 15 million euros and another of 20 million. Girondins' offer was rejected out of hand by Fluminense as they felt it was too low while the second offer, from Monterrey, was turned down by the player.

20 million euros plus 20% of the player's rights

Fluminense would be willing to accept an offer of around 20 million euros while retaining a 20% stake in the player - which would ensure they would be compensated if he were to be sold at some point in the future. As it stands, Flu only own 50% of Pedro's rights and if Madrid decide not to accept that proposal, the asking price would rise to 25 million...
