"Modric for Ballon d'Or? I'd give it to Cristiano" - Casemiro
Casemiro spoke to the media after Real Madrid's Champions League win over Roma, and tipped Los Blancos' former star to win the Ballon d'Or.
Five-star display: "I'd say it was a perfect match, because we played really good football. We controlled the game. We were up against a side who nearly got to the final last year, so we have to be pleased with our performance."
Chances: "If a team create 30 chances then they deserve full credit, particularly against a side like Roma. We were up against a side who are very good tactically."
Real Madrid midfield: "I've been playing with Luka [Modric] and Toni [Kroos] for a while now, and the quality that they have makes my job that bit easier."
Mariano Díaz: "You could see that he was champing at the bit to get his debut and to show why he's been brought in. He's important to us and scored a terrific goal."
Ballon d'Or: "I think the year Luka has had has been spectacular. [But] I'd give it to Cristiano [Ronaldo] for everything he achieved last season."
