Mahomes tossed his 13th score of the season in the second quarter, eclipsing Peyton Manning's mark of 12 for the most passing touchdowns through Week 3 in NFL history.
The 23-year-old threw four touchdown passes in a season-opening win over the Los Angeles Chargers before tying a Chiefs record with six passing touchdowns in the team's Week 2 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Chiefs beat the Niners 38-27.
