The star of Paris Saint-Germain and the France national team Kylian Mbappé appears on the front page of the new international edition of Time magazine published Thursday, the prestigious American magazine declaring that the striker is the "the future of football".

The 19-year-old who grew up in Bondy, a suburb of Paris, became the second most expensive player in the history of football, behind his Brazilian teammate Neymar (222 million euro) with PSG securing his services from AS Monaco for a fee of 180 million euro.

"Mbappé is much more than just an ordinary football player, his life epitomises the misery to riches cliche" with his formative years in the suburban neighborhoods of Paris surrounded by imposing tower blocks as the magazine claims that the footballer is one of the "leaders of the next generation".
