Vinicius sends a warning: "This is my style"
The Brazilian, Vinicius, made his first start for Real Madrid against Melilla and had two assists before telling the world that this is how he likes to play.
After five games with Castilla, two minutes against Atlético for Real Madrid and another 10 against Alavés, Vinicius enjoyed his first start at the club under the orders of Santiago Solari against Melilla in the Copa on Wednesday night. He left his mark on the match and took advantage of the situation as Real Madrid finished the game with the most chances on goal this season in a single game (8).
Vinicius sends warning after first Real Madrid start
"This is my style," he told Fox Sports after the Melilla game. "Take on my man and be effective and direct, while always looking for the goal. I like to start the game from the beginning and to help Real Madrid to win. It was a very important game for me, a milestone in my career. I have to say thanks to everyone at the club for making me feel at ease and who have helped me a lot with my adaptation."
The young Brazilian added two assists with a lovely pass inside to Marco Asensio for Real Madrid's second and he also nearly scored before Alvaro Odriozola instead got his first goal for the club. He shook the crossbar with a shot in the second half and finished with five efforts, 32 successful passes out of 41 and showed plenty for Real Madrid and Solari to be positive about in the future.
