Real Madrid remain on the lookout for a striker and, according to a report in the Spanish media on Monday, Manchester United's Alexis Sánchez has emerged as a potential signing for the LaLiga giants.

Alexis "lonely, bored and ignored" at Manchester United

With Alexis said to be keen to leave Old Trafford, the television show 'El Chiringuito' has claimed that the Chilean's agent, Fernando Felicevich, has offered his client to the European champions as he bids to find him a new club.

The 29-year-old was recently reported by the newspaper The Times to feel "lonely, bored and ignored" at United and to be after a departure from the Premier League club as soon as January, just a year after joining the Red Devils.

Real Madrid may struggle to prise Icardi from Inter

Madrid are firm admirers of Inter Milan's Mauro Icardi, who has 10 goals in 13 games in 2018/19, but with the Nerazzurri unlikely to countenance his sale in the mid-season window, Los Blancos may well seek out a more viable option.

Alexis scored memorable Clásico chip against Madrid

Alexis, who has scored just once this term, earns an annual 23m euros as part of the four-and-a-half-year United deal he signed on his arrival from Arsenal, where he had enjoyed a successful spell after joining from Barcelona in summer 2014.

He scored 47 in 141 matches at Barça, his most memorable goal coming against Madrid: a superb chip that helped secure a 2-1 Clásico win in 2013. Now, says 'El Chiringuito', he is plotting a return to LaLiga to play for the Catalans' arch rivals.
