Former Barcelona and Brazil player Rivaldo, now working as an ambassador for Betfair, analyzed the Week 16 LaLiga fixtures and Isco's delicate situation at Real Madrid. "Isco is a great player but when a team like Real Madrid loses 0-3 at home to CSKA, even when they'd already qualified for the next round, that doesn't go down well. Isco ended up paying the price for that because he was under scrutiny from the fans. He has to look forward, think about the next game and forget about his situation”. As for whether he could see the midfielder playing for his old club, Rivaldo said: "If you are asking whether I would like to see Isco playing for Barcelona, I'd say yes, of course. He's an excellent player and I think it would suit both him and Barça. In any case, I think it would be a very complicated proposal, it's hard to imagine two clubs who are such big rivals sitting down to negotiate the transfer of one of their best players".

Madrid need to buy a striker

As for next month's transfer window, Rivaldo added, "Real Madrid clearly need a centre-forward, a player who can provide a regular supply of goals. After Cristiano Ronaldo left, the team lost some of their attacking power and now's the moment to strengthen the squad - before the exciting stage of the Champions League gets underway".

Barcelona facing Levante three times over the next month

And the end, the ex-blaugrana gave his thought on Barça's trip to the Ciutat de València this weekend: "With all due respect to Levante, I don't think they'll give Barcelona too many problems either in Sunday's league game or in their Copa del Rey tie. I say that because Barcelona are looking very strong in LaLiga, they're playing well and could easily come away with three more points from Levante. The same could happen in the Copa - it won't make much difference if Valverde decides to rotate the team or not".
