According to the journalist Bruno Andrade in his Ora Bolas blog, Guangzhou have already let Barcelona know that they are ready to make a formal 50 million euro offer for Malcom. The Brazilian player, who joined on a 41 million euro deal from Girondins de Bordeaux, has only been in Spain for a few months but Andrade insists that he is one of the first names on Guangzhou's shopping list. Barça could even receive a bigger fee for the winger - Diario AS reported back on 17 December that the Chinese club's offer could even reach 65 million euros. Reports in Catalunya this week have Everton, who took Yerry Mina, Lucas Digne and André Gomes off Barça's hands last summer, are keen to have another crack at signing Malcom in this month's transfer window.

Decision time

Barça will shortly rake in 50 million euros from selling Paulinho to Guangzhou where he has been on loan since the summer. Once again, it will be André Cury, Barça's man in South America, who will play a key part in the operation. Cury was the man who suggested Malcom to Guangzhou. Now it will be up to the player to make his own decision about his future although it appears that the player isn't unhappy where he is and wants to see out the season - hopefully, giving him time to win over Valverde.
