Barça win LaLiga and City claim first ever Champions League...

Los de Ernesto Valverde podrían llevarse su segunda Liga consecutiva y perpetuar el dominio que ejercen en España desde 2008.

These are the victors of the 2018/19 Spanish league and Champions League according to a study of top leading European bookmakers.

Bookmakers always win goes the old saying and ahead of the major football tournaments that will be resolved in 2018, a survey comparing the odds from some of Europe's leading bookmakers: Bet365, Betfair, William Hill, 888 and Codere sees the following teams emerge as favourites to secure football's biggest prizes in the forthcoming year.

There is little money to be made in selecting the winner in the domestic French and Italian leagues with both PSG and Juventus comfortably ahead in their respective leagues.

The Spanish, English and German leagues are harder to call but the favourite for the bookmakers at present are the current leaders: FC Barcelona in LaLiga, Liverpool in the Premier League and Dortmund in the Bundesliga. Betting on the Reds to win their first league title in the Premier League era would see a return of 1.74 for every euro placed.

Value

There is more value for money in the Champions League in what is shaping up to be one of the most open competitions in recent times. Bookmakers tilt towards Pep Guardiola's City as favourites to beg their first European Cup with the English side to lift the trophy in Madrid next June paying out at 3.9 euro per euro placed. Barça and Juventus complete the podium of sides fancied to lift the Champions League cup in Madrid on June 1st.

Segundos en Premier, el City es favorito para la Champions.

English sides Arsenal and Chelsea are strongly fancied in the Europa League and it's the English national side who are strongly tipped to claim the inaugural UEFA Nations League trophy when the final four is staged in Portugal next June.
