Real Madrid: Keylor Navas joins LaLiga club's lengthy injury list

Real Madrid coach Santiago Solari has been handed a fresh injury blow after it was confirmed that goalkeeper Keylor Navas has suffered a groin injury.

"Following the tests carried out on our player Keylor Navas by the Real Madrid medical department, he has been diagnosed with an injury to his right adductor longus muscle," the LaLiga club said in a statement on Friday.

As is customary, Madrid did not specify how long the Costa Rican is likely to be out, but he is at the very least certain to miss Saturday's LaLiga clash with Sevilla.

Courtois set to return to team against Sevilla

First-choice keeper Thibaut Courtois, who has not played since 6 January due to a hip injury, is now back in training and, barring any late setbacks in his recovery, is expected to return in goal against Pablo Machín's side.

Navas joins crowded Real Madrid sick bay

Navas joins Toni Kroos (groin), Mariano Díaz (sciatica), Marcos Llorente (groin), Gareth Bale (calf), Marco Asensio (hamstring) and Jesús Vallejo (hamstring) in being unavailable to Solari this weekend.
