Barça B's Wague apologises to fan but condemns "racist insults and songs"
The Barcelona B player was sent off but apologised to the fan and Ejea while condemning the racists insults and chants that should not be heard on a football field.
Barcelona B player, Moussa Wague, has taken to Instagram to apologise for his sending off in Ejea de los Caballeros. He was shown red for kicking the ball at a fan's face but the player says he was subject to "numerous and repeated racist insults and songs that should never have to be tolerated on a football pitch."
Wague apologises but points out racists insults and songs
In the Instagram post, Wague apologised to the club and the fan of SD Ejea.
"I want to express my sincere apologies to SD Ejea and the fan of that club for my conduct during the game yesterday," Wague said.
"In a moment of anger, with the result going against us, I did not behave correctly and I acknowledge that and want to reiterate my apologies.
"I also want to report that my actions, in trying to get the ball back from a fan to take a throw-in, came after being the subject of numerous and repeated racist insults and songs that should never have to be tolerated on a football pitch."
