Real Madrid: Brahim Díaz loan move not being considered

Both club and player are in agreement that it is not in his best interests to be sent out on loan in the summer, despite his lack of action so far.

Real Madrid: Brahim Díaz loan move not being considered

Brahim Díaz won't be going out on loan from Real Madrid. It didn't happen in the January transfer window, and it won't happen in the summer. Both club and player are in agreement over this, and things will have to change significantly for either party to alter their stance.

Brahim reluctance to go on loan a reason for City exit

Brahim, 19, is in no doubt that he doesn't want a temporary move to another club. Indeed, this was one of the reasons why the midfielder did not renew his contract at Manchester City and ended up leaving: in the face of his desire to stay where he was despite his lack of opportunities, the Premier League champions regularly sought to ship him out.

Madrid keen for youngster to learn from top stars

Meanwhile, Madrid are against loaning Brahim out for two reasons. Firstly, Los Blancos believe that the Spain Under-21 international is already ready to be an important member of Santiago Solari's first-team squad. Secondly, they feel that training day in, day out with top-class players - even if he doesn't get as much game time - will be better for his development than being at a lower-level club.

So although he has barely played in his first month at the Bernabéu (Solari has given him just 24 minutes of football so far), both Brahim and Madrid are relaxed about the situation. There is a reluctance to rush to judgement on a teenager who is still adapting to life at the European champions.
