Messi still experiencing pains after tests at the Ciutat Esportiva
The Argentinean arrived at Barcelona's training ground this morning to undergo tests which hopefully will rule out an injury. He's doubtful for Wednesday's Cup tie.
Lionel Messi arrived at the Ciutat Esportiva this morning to undergo a series of tests which hopefully will rule out the possibility that he may have damaged his right thigh muscle. Messi took a knock to his upper leg in a collision with Valencia left-back Toni Lato in Saturday's 2-2 draw at Camp Nou. He spent yesterday resting and was visited by club medical staff at home but it seems that he will remain doubtful for Wednesday's Copa del Rey semi-final first leg against Real Madrid, possibly up until the day of the game.
Key games coming up
Messi turned up at the training ground still experiencing some pain, club sources told AS. Ernesto Valverde will spend the morning talking to the player and must decide what course of action to take. Barça have a very busy fixtures calendar and the last thing the coach will want to do is run the risk of aggravating an injury to his star player .
