Bale celebration snub: Solari and Lucas Vázquez unconcerned

Real Madrid coach Santiago Solari won't take any action against Gareth Bale over the incident, and is weighing up handing him a Clásico start.

Bale celebration snub: Solari and Lucas Vázquez unconcerned

Gareth Bale's celebration snub in Sunday evening's win at Levante is already water under the bridge in the Real Madrid dressing room.

The second-half substitute raised eyebrows by rejecting team-mate Lucas Vázquez's attempts to congratulate him after he had scored a late penalty to earn Los Blancos a 2-1 LaLiga victory at the Ciutat de València.

Solari, Vázquez understand gesture born out of frustration

However, AS understands that both Vázquez and coach Santiago Solari are unconcerned by the incident, and appreciate that it came about in the heat of the moment as a result of Bale's frustration at falling down the pecking order at Madrid.

Indeed, Vázquez is thought to have a good relationship with the 'Cardiff Express', with the pair enjoying a healthy rivalry for selection on the right-hand side of the European champions' front three.

Solari won't punish Bale, may give him Clásico start

Solari is not considering taking any action against Bale; what's more, he is contemplating bringing the Welshman back into his line-up for at least one of Madrid's two clashes with arch rivals Barcelona this week.

The rest of the squad are also unperturbed by the incident, a fact evidenced by their readiness to share a joke about it in training on Monday, as Los Merengues began preparations for their Clásico double header.
