Mbappé becomes one of French sport's top earners

In a list published by L’Equipe, the PSG forward earned a total of 24.7 million euros in 2018, second only to Antoine Griezmann.

Over the past few years, Kylian Mbappé's impressive performances on the pitch have reaped their rewards off it and have seen the Frenchman rise to the top of the footballing tree and French sport's rich list. The PSG forward is now the second highest earner in French sport, taking into account wages and advertising. 

L’Equipe list

In a list published by L’Equipe, only Antoine Griezmann earns more, with the Atlético forward pocketing 33 million euros in 2018, compared with Mbappé's 24.7 million. However, the PSG speed merchant is the first French player to enter the list at the age of 20. Paul Pogba sits in third with 22.1 million per year, closely followed by Karim Benzema, with 22 million. 

The top 10 also features four basketball players. Nicolas Batum is the fifth highest earner, with 20.9 million euros, and Rudy Gobert with 20.6 million. Barcelona's Dembélé is seventh on the list, with 19.1 million, followed by Joakim Noah (17.5), Evan Fournier (15.2) and Franck Ribéry (14.3).
