Pjanic joins Real Madrid list for Zidane's summer overhaul
The Juventus player's agent is said to be meeting with the club this summer to discuss his client's future, with Los Blancos' manager keeping tabs.
Miralem Pjanic is yet another player being linked to Real Madrid, as the Spanish giants set their sights on a summer overhaul.
Pjanic joins Real Madrid 'list'
The Juventus midfielder, according to Il Bianconero - who say they have sources close to the player - wants to sit down with his current employers, Juventus, at the end of the season. This is to either negotiate a lucrative extension to his contract with them, or to discuss a potential exit to those clubs that have shown an interest in his services. This is where Real Madrid come in.
Zinedine Zidane is a big admirer of the Bosnian, a player who has become a key member of Massimiliano Allegri's Serie A champions after joining in 2016 from Roma. Last summer Pjanic was linked with a move to both Chelsea and Manchester City, however, in the end, a new deal was reached with the Old Lady, one that expires in 2023, for 6.5 million euros per year. This made him the third highest earner at the club, behind only Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala.
As Il Bianconero report, the player's agent, Fali Ramadani, will meet with the club at the end of this season to check the lay of the land. If the exit door is the preferred choice for Pjanic, though, it is unlikely to be made easy by the Turin club, with a transfer fee in the region of 80 million euros expected. And with a number of Europe's richest clubs keen on the player, that will be the starting price for the battle for his signature.
Real Madrid are being linked to several high-profiled stars as the end of the season draws closer, with the likes of Eden Hazard, Paul Pogba and Sadio Mané all being seen as solutions to Zidane's new look side.
