Mané: Amid Real Madrid talk, Liverpool identify replacement
With Sadio Mané tipped for a move to Real Madrid, the Premier League club have reportedly earmarked the man to replace him if he does go.
Amid rumours of a Real Madrid swoop for Sadio Mané as part of the LaLiga giants' expected summer overhaul, Liverpool are reportedly making sure they're prepared for the Senegal forward's potential departure.
Premier League return for former United player Depay?
According to the Mirror, the Premier League title chasers have identified Lyon's ex-Manchester United winger Memphis Depay as the man to replace Mané if he is lured away to the Bernabéu in the close season.
Reds lost out to United in race for winger in 2015
Liverpool are said to be confident of snaring Depay, 25, for around 60m euros, four years after being beaten to the Dutch international's signature by United.
Depay has been on fire for Dutch national side
Depay, who has been at Lyon since 2017, has scored eight times in 39 games for the Ligue 1 club this season, and has been in a particularly rich vein of form for the Netherlands, netting seven goals and supplying four assists in his last eight caps.
"He has been vital for the Netherlands and has helped us to reach the Nations League finals in June," Oranje head coach Ronald Koeman said a few days ago.
