Premier League title run-in: Man City and Liverpool's final fixtures, dates, times

One of the most impressively contested Premier League titles in years is destined to go to the wire as The Reds go back to the top.

Update:
Premier League title run-in: Man City and Liverpool's final fixtures, dates, times

Whatever happens now, and whether Manchester City or Liverpool end up as Premier League 2018/19 champions, we should all just stand up and applaud them both. Second place will, of course, be deeply disappointing for that group of young men, but Pep Guardiola and Jürgen Klopp will remind them just what an incredible achievement they have made pushing close to 100 points in what many believe is the most competitive top league in the world

As it stands, following The Reds' dramatic 2-3 victory against Newcastle United at St James' Park on Saturday evening, the Merseyside club sit two points clear, with just one game left to play. The Citizens, though, can regain top spot if they overcome a very decent Leicester City side on Monday, which is their game in hand.

One of the most compelling Premier League title races in recent years has almost reached its conclusion. Here are the fixtures that will determine the outcome of the 2018/19 season.

Manchester City

May 6th: Leicester City (home) 21:00 kick-off

City have the small disadvantage of playing their first two games of the "run-in trilogy" after Liverpool which for many is seen as a psychological drawback and this home game against Brendan Rodger's side comes two days after Liverpool travel to Newcastle. In the past three Premier League meetings between both sides at the Etihad Stadium, City have won twice with "The Foxes" winning 1-3 during their title winning season in 16/17.

May 12th: Brighton (away) 16:00 kick-off

Come the final game of the season, currently relegation threatened Brighton and Hove Albion will have bid farewell to fellow strugglers Cardiff City or indeed be fighting for their own survival which could determine the dynamic of this last game of the current campaign at the Amex Stadium.

Liverpool

May 12th: Wolves (home) 16:00 kick-off

The curtain comes down for Jurgen Klopp's men with Nuno's Wolverhampton Wanderers the visitors at Anfield. Wolves went close to capping an excellent season narrowly failing to secure a FA Cup final spot falling to Watford in the semi-final and will be very much in 'pre-holiday mode' coming into the final fixture of the campaign.
