Montreal Impact are in pursuit of first place in the Eastern Conference, which at the moment belongs to D.C. United, although both teams are tied on points with 17.

The Impact were arguably the form team in week nine of the MLS, something that earned goalkeeper Evan Bush the MLS Player of the Week award after he kept clean sheets as the Canadian franchise won both their games.

Their first victory came on Wednesday at New England Revolution, a match that ended in a 3-0 triumph, before they then went back home to host Chicago Fire on Sunday, and won 1-0.

The 33-year-old keeper helped hold the fort down at the back when Montreal pushed for the win at Rev's home as the game remained scoreless until the last 11 minutes, and made a save that kept his team in a match that they eventually won.

When the Impact hosted 'The Fire,' Bush made some crucial back-to-back stops in the opening minutes, and kept Chicago scoreless for the rest of a game in which Montreal also came out on top thanks to Omar Browne's late goal.

Bush has been with Montreal since they entered the American league in 2012, has made 154 regular season starts, and has been the side's undisputed first choice in goal for the last five campaigns.
