Messi on Coutinho jeers: "It's ugly to see that happening to a teammate"
Lionel Messi says Barcelona are delighted with their win over Liverpool but he doesn't like to see Coutinho being whistled by fans after being taken off.
Lionel Messi spoke to reporters after his brace downed Liverpool in the first leg of Barcelona's Champions League semi-final at Camp Nou on Wednesday night.
"It's not decided," he said after the 3-0. "We have to go to a very difficult stadium, with history, that will put pressure on, but we are happy for the game today."
Ugly gesture to whistle Coutinho
"We are in a definitive moment," he said about Coutinho being whistled. "Very nice, and we have to be more together than ever. It's not the moment to criticise anybody. We have three finals left and we will play them all together."
"It's ugly to see that happening to a teammate when he's being taken off," he continued. Whether he did well or poorly. There's just a bit left now and we have to be together."
