The Barça player was visibly upset as he talked through a match in which an early Origi goal was followed by a Wijnaldum brace at the start of the second half before a quick-thinking corner from Trent Alexander-Arnold set up Origi to give Klopp’s side the win.

Busquets speaks after Champions League defeat
Tough defeat?
They were better, they went for the game from the start. We struggled a lot with their pressure and when they push up and then score it becomes very difficult. We tried to score the goal we needed but it wasn’t to be. I can’t say anything else apart from to say sorry, because after Rome, for this to happen to us…
Were Liverpool better?
When a team plays pressing so hard and so high up, if you don’t pick up the second balls they grow into the match... If we’d scored it would all have changed, we had chances. It’s tough to talk right now, but I’m not going blame anyone. Just say sorry to the fans again.
Fourth goal (when the entire Barcelona defence switched off to let Origi score)
It was a mistake from all of us, switching off. They were smarter than us, they took it quickly and their player was on his own.
