Messi involved in incident with Barça fans at Liverpool airport
Catalan sports daily, Mundo Deportivo report that a group of Barça fans challenged the Argentine over the attitude of the team at Anfield.
There was tension at Liverpool's John Lennon airport late last night as a number of Barcelona fans took Leo Messi to task for the poor display offered by the Catalan team earlier on at Anfield as Liverpool mounted a comeback to beat Valverde's side 4-0 on the night and 4-3 on aggregate.
Catalan daily Mundo Deportivo report that Lionel Messi travelled after the main Barcelona delegation as he was subject to a random UEFA anti-doping control. The player was with his personal assistant and body-guard Pepe Costa who ensured that the incident didn't escalate as another pocket of Barça fans witnessing the incident applauded the Argentine striker who was visibly distressed by the situation.
Messi was one of the few Barcelona player's to deliver a decent performance at Anfield being at the heart of all attacks offered by the LaLiga side.
