Weston McKennie has high expectation for USMNT teammate, and close friend, Christian Pulisic in the Premier League as he's set to join Chelsea this summer.

McKennie and Pulisic have known each other throughout the US youth national teams, besides also playing against one another in the Bundesliga with Schalke and Borussia Dortmund, respectively.

In an interview with Sky Sports, McKennie mentioned the high hopes he has for Pulisic once he joins up with Chelsea, "Christian is the type of player who likes a challenge and likes to experience new things as well, I think he'll be a great signing for Chelsea. He may not get it right away, he may get in and play you never know, but I think he'll be helpful for them in any way that they use him."

McKennie said he's excited for his friend and teammate, stating that Pulisic is also excited to start the next chapter of his career and make an even bigger name for himself.

Christian Pulisic may miss some preseason matches with The Blues, as the playmaker is expected to join the United States Men's National Team for the summer tournament, but he might cut short his summer break in order to join Chelsea as early as possible.

The American striker has one more game left with Dortmund before making the big move to England after his $73 million transfer was sealed back in January. He has scored in his last two games in the Black and Yellow shirt to give his side a chance of winning the Bundesliga title on the final day as they sit behind Bayern Munich by just two points.
