Five Liverpool fans face lifetime bans for offering UCL final tickets online for up to €5,100

Liverpool have said that the five fans could be banned from Anfield for life if found guilty of attempting to resell Champions League final tickets.

Five Liverpool fans that were caught trying to illegally resell Champions League final tickets online are facing lifetime bans from Anfield, according to a report by the Liverpool Echo.

The club’s investigation team tracked down the supporters after tracing the serial numbers on the tickets to find out who they were originally sold to.

Liverpool have said that the five fans could be banned from Anfield for life if found guilty following a hearing in front of a sanctions panel.

Liverpools fans were offering tickets for up €5,100

It was discovered that the tickets in question were being offered on secondary online market places for prices ranging from £2,500 to £4,500 (2,840 - 5,110 euros) – well above face value of £513, £385, £154 and £60 for the four ticket pricing categories for the final, which takes place between Liverpool and Tottenham on Saturday, 1 June.

Three Spurs fans handed bans

The news comes after three Tottenham season-ticket holders were handed “indefinite bans” on Monday after they tried to sell tickets through a resale website.

At the time of writing the cheapest tickets available on Stubhub were valued at 5,400 euros, while the most expensive tickets (VIP Gold category) available on the resale website are going for 55,000 euros.
