Barcelona: 10 players on their way out of Camp Nou

Jasper Cillessen

The Netherlands keeper has been playing second fiddle to Marc-André ter Stegen since his arrival in 2016 and while the club are happy with his role, as first choice for his country it is logical that the 30-year-old feels the time is right to seek a number one shirt elsewhere.

Update:

Philippe Coutinho

The Brazilian has been a shadow of the player Barcelona forked out 110 million euros before add-ons for and the 26-year-old has been jeered by some sections of the Camp Nou crowd this season with his performances coming under increased scrutiny. Not assured of a starting place in the forward line and competing with Ousmane Dembélé may lead the Barça board to listen to offers but the likelihood of recouping their full outlay seems remote after an underwhelming 2018-19 for the mercurial attacker.

Update:

Samuel Umtiti

The future of the France defender is also up in the air largely due to a serious knee inury that saw him miss a large chunk of the season and the emergence of Clément Lenglet - who recently received his maiden Les Bleus call-up - as a long-term solution in the centre of defence. Add in the possibility of Matthijs de Ligt arriving this summer and the signing of 19-year-old Jean-Clair Todibo in January and Barça will happily listen to offers for the 25-year-old.

Update:

Malcom

Barcelona paid Bordeaux 41 million euros for the Brazilian last summer but he has had a disappointing season and has been used sparingly by Ernesto Valverde, making 24 appearances and scoring four times. Another season to settle is a possibility given the investment made and the fact that Malcom is 22, but if an offer of 30 million euros or above was to arrive in the Camp Nou post box it would certainly be examined.

Update:

Ivan Rakitic

The Croatian, described recently by José Mourinho as "one of the most underrated players in the world" is a delicate issue for Valverde and the Barcelona board. One of the side's most consistent players and a loyal servant, there are extra-curricular reasons for wanting to sell the 31-year-old, who has plenty of suitors: to bank some cash to fund other signings. No player has featured for more time under Valverde since the Spaniard took over at Barça and Rakitic is a firm fan favourite. He is also 31 and out of contract in two years, meaning his value will never be higher than it is now.

Update:

Rafinha

A serious knee injury has restricted Rafinha to just eight appearances this season and Barça will be more than willing to entertain another deal with Inter, where he spent a season on loan but was priced out of a move when the Serie A side were quoted a price of 30 million euros. Another loan is an option but Barça would prefer to sell, although they will have to reduce their financial pretensions considerably.

Update:

Kevin-Prince Boateng

One of the most eye-catching deals in Barça's recent history, the on-loan Sassuolo striker failed to raise any during his brief stay in Catalonia, where he was handed just three Liga appearances and failed to score once.

Update:

Jeison Murillo

Signed on loan from Valencia, Murillo managed just five appearances, mostly in the Copa del Rey, and will be sent back to Mestalla with Barça extremely unlikely to exercise the optional 25-million-euro purchase option.

Update:

Thomas Vermaelen

The Belgium international is out of contract and the club has informed the 33-year-old that he will not be offered a new deal after an injury ravaged four seasons at Barça limited the defender to just 53 appearances.

Update:

Denis Suárez

The winger was loaned to Arsenal for the second half of the season and is viewed as dispensible by the Barça board. The 25-year-old is currently injured and a loan deal will be sought but first he will have to recover and is officially still an Arsenal player until June 30.
