US under-20s win to keep knock-out stage hopes alive
The U20 US men's national team earned a 2-0 win over Nigeria to level up on three points before facing Qatar in their final group stage match.

The US men's Under-20 picked up their first win of the 2019 World Cup in Poland thanks to Sebastian Soto's outstanding performance as the youngster scored both goals in a 2-0 victory over Nigeria.
Soto, a Real Salt Lake academy product and now Hannover striker, scored the first goal in the 18th minute from a corner, and his second of the night came at the beginning of the second half.

It was Soto's first start of the tournament after his substitute appearance in the 2-1 defeat against Ukraine in the opening group stage match.

The victory over Nigeria puts the US men's team level on three points with the African side. Nigeria will go up against Ukraine, leaders of group D with 6 points, in the Super Eagles' final group match, while the US face Qatar, with both games to be played on May 30.
