'Tail fin fake': Gary Lineker not immortalised by Norwegian
The Spurs legend and current broadcaster appeared to be one of the latest additions to the airline's tail fin heroes but there was a twist in that particular tail.
Transporting over 40 million passengers in 2018, Norwegian has become one of Europe's leading airlines but also recognised for it's distinctive portraits of distinguished Scandinavians on the tail fins of its aircraft.

A twist in the tail
Now operating trans Atlantic flights, the iconic tail fins have incorporated international personalities with the likes of British writer Roald Dahl, Queen singer Freddie Mercury, and US activist and politician Harvey Milk featuring on the tail fins.
With all footballing minds focused on UEFA's Champions League final between Tottenham and Liverpool on Saturday night, one fan took advantage with a clever piece of editing. It had appeared to innocent onlookers (yes, including us!) that the latest tail fin hero was former English footballing star and current broadcaster Gary Lineker (a true Spurs legend) with the image said to have been spotted at Madrid airport. Nice idea...and we now await more heroes of the Beautiful Game to adorn Norwegian tails.
