LA Galaxy 1-2 New England Revolution
Bruce Arena and NE Revolution wrecked Galaxy's winning streak
Bruce Arena debuted with flying colors as the new Revolution head coach against his former team Los Angeles Galaxy, despite Zlatan's amazing goal.
LA Galaxy arrived at this game with a two victory streak on the road, and after the loss against Colorado the last time Barros Schelotto's squad played at home, they were looking to take back the winning path at Dignity Health Sports Park.
But things didn't go as planned for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and company as they seemed messy during the first few minutes of the game against New England Revolution, while the Revs earned more control and more shots on goal testing David Bingham abilities.
The Revs looked inspired, probably to prove their value in front of its new coach, which is also former LA Galaxy manager, Bruce Arena, who debuted at the bench of the Boston side for the first time after being appointed Revolution head coach, a couple of weeks ago.
New England complicated things for Galaxy with Cristian Penilla's goal before half time, but things didn't change for the second half, as the Revs took control of the ball since the beginning. Bingham had a lot to work, and despite blocking some of New England's attempts, Bunbury increased the Revs advantage at the 60th minute to put the game 2-0 in favor of the Boston squad.
Los Angeles couldn't find themselves in the field, looking mostly messy and uncomfortable, but in the last 10 minutes of the game, they started to create more chances, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic was in charge of scoring a superb goal to shorten the visitors lead.
Galaxy tried to level up the game, pressuring up front in New England's net, but luck was not on its side, and Revolution took the three points in Bruce Arena's debut at the Boston bench, while Zlatan earned his eleventh goal of the season.
