The Serie A side under new boss Antonio Conte are keen to add to their central positions as they look to challenge Juventus in the hunt for the Scudetto.
Suitors are lining up for Christian Eriksen after comments from Danish international where the Spurs player claimed he wanted a fresh challenge stating: "I feel that I am a place in my career where I might want to try something new. I have the wildest and deepest respect for everything that has happened in Tottenham, so I won't be negative. But I have also said that I would like to try something new.
"I hope there will be clarification during the summer. That's the plan. In football you do not know when clarification comes. It can happen anytime. Everyone thinks it's best if it happens as soon as possible, but in football takes things time.
Early speculation pointed to the Dane moving to Real Madrid but Italy's Gazzetto dello Sport maintain that new Inter boss Conte would be interested in bolstering his midfield as the "Nerazzuri" look to build a squad that will compete in the 2019-20 Champions League and look to challenge Juventus in the race for the Serie A title.
Inter have established contact with Eriksen's representative Martin Shoots and are prepared to submit a bid of 70 million euro for the Danish player's services.
